Free Listing, Verified and Accredited: what the labels mean

How to read assessment status when comparing clinics on Dental Registry.

Dental Registry editorial · 23 October 2026 · 3 min read

A listing is a starting point

A Free Listing gives a clinic a directory presence. Its profile can describe the location, team and treatments. This level does not mean that Dental Registry has completed verification or an accreditation assessment. Check the profile’s source information and contact the clinic with your questions.

Verified means virtual and desk-based checks

Our Verified route uses virtual and desk-based checks of clinic identity and supporting evidence. It is separate from an on-site accreditation assessment. A Verified listing must not be read as fully Accredited, and owner-confirmed statuses in this preview are identified in the profile.

Accredited includes an on-site assessment

Our Accredited route additionally requires a site visit and an assessment decision. Read the scope and date of any assessment when available. No directory label guarantees a treatment outcome or replaces a consultation with the clinician who would provide your care.
